Adelaide, Australia Day 2

Day 2
A cold day .
This was my second day in Adelaide everything was fine but the temperature was pretty low.

My dad said Adelaide has 4 seasons in a day. TRUE!
You will have Spring in the morning then noon with Summer, next is autumn in the evening and winter in the night.
During the winter, it does not snow the lowest I heard from my friend was 0 degree Celcius.
During Summer time, it can be pretty hot the temperature will rise to around 41 degree Celcius.

We woke up in the noon and took a walk to the Rundle Mall ( A shopping zone)
Visit their website : http://www.rundlemall.com/ so you can know more about Rundle mall and it's location.
The temperature was nice but the wind was strong!
We decided to choose some of the souvenirs at Rundle mall.
I didn't see much of the foreign brands like Mango, Topshops or even Forever 21 but then they were lots of local brands such as Factorie, Forever New and so on.

From Mao's place to Rundle mall only needs 8 mins the most I think.
This was the street that we lived on.
It's called Hindley Street which is also a redline zone.
Actually, I like this street because it is very convenient it has McDonald and KFC along the street, 24 hours groceries so you don't have to worried about your meals.
The night sight of Hindley Street.

On Friday and Saturday, they will be a lot of parties going on and off.
You can see lots of drunkers lying on the street or ladies shouting along the street.
I not sure whether this rule goes in other states of Australia but in Adelaide if the polis see a drunker alone without any friends they will call an ambulance and send the drunkies to the hospital.

The fine will be 800 aussie.

SO, make sure you go clubbing with a bunch of GOOD friends or remain sober.

After 8 mins, we reached the Ruddle mall.
Can you see the retro building?
That's my landmark for Rundle Mall hahahha.. but actually it is three pigs and a two layers Sliver ball just in the middle of the street.

There are some shops that I would like to go for an intro.

First, if you like to buy something cheaper and special then you can go to Kmart.
Can you see the sign board a big red K beside Inglot in my last photo?
That's the one!
I bought two pillows for only 5 aussie but the quality is just so so only.
It sells daily products, chocolate, clothes and even cosmetics.

The next I'm going to introduce is Suppre.
You can find very cheap clothing in it like 5 aussie per shorts.
Besides this, there is another clothing shop "Factorie" the price is slightly higher but the design is nice!

I bought their nail polish which I think Malaysia sell more expansive.

After few hours of shopping we stopped by a café and have our lunch.
The café located slightly at the end of the Rundle Mall.
Sorry for the angle ..but you can find it just opposite 'yes optus' one of the mobile company.
Between you guys can buy a prepaid card in 'yes' optus. It's easy to register, you just need to bring yr passport and choose which type of package you want. That's all.
'yes' optus is easy to find and their service also quite okay.
There is one 'yes' optus in China town and one in Rundle mall..and so on.

Okay back to my lunch, at the beginning we chose this café because it has the wifi service LOL.
It's called "Bruccone"
It's like a Starsbucks which sell cheesecake, coffees and soft drinks.
I chose their Carrot Walnut cake , so delicious!
I was attracted by the sugar on the top of the cake!

CRY because I missed home already LOL..

So we done with shooping, lunch and decided to visit Calvin accommodation.
In Adelaide time really past fast maybe because we were still in jet lag mood ??!
  Sleep-ing
During night time, Mr. Calvin brought me to eat Pancake!
This was a special one for me because it opens 24 hours EVERYDAY!
Isnt it cool?
It's located just along Hindley Street called "Pancake Kitchen"

I love this place because it is warm when outside is cool and it is cool when outside is hot!
In every part of Australia most of the shops will closed after 5pm so there is not much restaurants and cafes left so I would like to come here at night.

The Mr. camera boom (Calvin)

This is mine "Farmer breakfast"
two pieces of pancake, two harsh brown and two eggs.

This belong to Mao.
That night special.

After the supper we went to City West campus of UniSA.
City West is nearer to Hindley Street than my future Campus.
Most of the students who live in Hindley Street will study at City West Campus.
This is the conventions centre.

This is the City West campus.

Everyone was studying including us.

That's night was freezing. I think about 10-13 degree Celcius.
So we spent about 3 hours in the library and around 2 am  we went back to Calvin accommodation.
While we on our way back, we decided to drop by a 24 hours grocery shops and bought some instant noodles.

Love their grocery shops because it was so warm and outside was freezing.
This is one of the biggest 24  hours grocery shops I seen in Adelaide. It just located opposite Adelaide Casino.
LOL this is a funny picture right?
see Mr. Camera boom's face..that's so called an "exam face" hahahahha

Okay, just for laugh before bed.
Night guys!
That's all for the day.

Adelaide, Australia Day 1

Day 1
We packed our stuffs before we off to Adelaide, Australia.
This was my situations before pack.Onion01
I was too worried about the overweight issue.. haizzz.. should bring more!
I brought most of my long sleeves there because we will have longer period of Autumn and Winter.

Finally done packing and waiting my parents to send me and my sister to the airport.
Actually, I have "Custom phobia"Onion16 I think because even though I know I did or brought nothing illegal but I will still worried about the custom checking.
Below is the basic Checking list:
1. no eggs, milk and foods ( unless you declare)
2. no drugs example weeds and so on..
3. if you take more 10,000 aussie you have to report.

Visit this website for more information: http://www.customs.gov.au/site/page4369.asp

The basic you need to bringOnion32 :
1. Sunblock
2. lotion (especially dry skin)
3. passport
4. adapter

This is all my basic that I brought.

Our flight depart on 7 something so we reached the airport two hours before.
Checked-in and waited at the hall.

Bye MalaysiaOnion53
My sister ~~
We got into the plane.
The plane was abit small no television even though it was Malaysia Airline.
However, it was just an hour flight so still okay for me.

After an hour, we reached Kuala Lumpur International Airport around 9pm.
Then we have to sit for a train to transit our terminal from Gate A to Gate C.

This is the station.

Doesn't it looks like UK?
The train actually come often and quite punctual in time.
This is the schedule but hehehhhe sorry it's hard to see.
I think about every 10- 20 mins has one train.

I love to walk on it.
Enjoy every moment you take.

We have a walk around the airport.
Then have our dinner at Starsbucks.
I don't really have time to chill or calm downOnion56 because this was my first time having myself and my sister only in the airport.
At the end we still finished this stack of stuffs.
Around 10 something, we started to depart.
The airplane was nice and comfy.Onion79
It will also provide you a headset, pillow and blanket.
7 hours 30 mins flight!

The snack we have during the flight was this "chicken pie" the taste wasn't that nice but still okay for me.
We have our meal around 5 am in the morning with Nasi Lemak!!
The first rise.
Errrrr... it was so tired to take a midnight flight because you can sleep probably on the plane.Onion81
Luckily, there are friends in Adelaide so no worries for the picking up.
Actually, I did feel abit guilty towards Mao and Jarell because they WALK to the airport which take about 30-40 mins from the place in the early morning 8 am (which they don't usually wake up in this period) .
Hereby, I have to say thanks and sorry to you guys haha...

We took a taxi and reached their house. Dropped our luggage and went out to have our breakfast.
The first meal I have in Adelaide was "Dim Sum" somewhere around China Town.
*Sorry I forgot to bring my camera due to the jet lag issue hahaha so I didn't take any photos.

After the breakfast, I requested to take a nap zzzzzzzzz...Onion89

Until about 5 pm something we went out for dinner with my friends from Cpu.
Again in China Town! but this time abit further.
Along the street you can see beautiful flowers because now they are having Spring season till end of December I think.
The weather was really nice if there was no wind.

We walked about 25-30 mins and reached a Chinese restaurant named "良記 " in Chinese.

Here we go!
My first dinner in Adelaide with a butch of friends
Starts from the middle was their Pork ribs soup.
Next from the left top was their pork rib. Next to it was Toufu.
Bottom left was vegetable and the bottom right was the egg York with pumpkin.
Not bad the dishes especially when the weather is cold and you have something hot.
Camera boom " Mr. Calvin"Onion93
but then he is a nice model la..

= =
The street that we passed by.

That's all for Day 1.
