Adelaide, Australia airlines and accomodation

Hello guys, I was in Adelaide for two weeks long.
I went there for my study trip :)
I remember I have posted a post related to my university in South Australia.. my reasons ...

First, we have to start with the tickets!
You can book the ticket by your own or you can book from the travel agent.

There are several types of tickets.
1. Student special : need to have student visa and you will have extra 10KG
2. More than two persons tickets : need to have more than two persons and it is a monthly ticket which means your return ticket has to be within a month. ( I not sure whether this apply only to Quantas or all the airlines)
3. Weekly ticket : ten days ticket which means you have to return before the ten days.
4. Annual ticket: this is more expansive which means your return ticket can be anytime as long as it is within the year.

 The airlines to Adelaide.
1. Airasia : just have their new routine to Adelaide
2. Malaysia Airlines: depart from Kuala Lumpur so I took the transit from Senai, Johor to Kuala Lumpur. You do not need to take out and check-in the luggage again when you transit.
3. Singapore Airlines : depart from Singapore
4. Quantas : my agent doesn't recommend this is because we have to transit at Melbourne. We just scared of the immigration because in Australia their immigration is super strict so we scared thru the process we might miss the transit and have to wait few hours again.

* My recommend is that if you go there alone or with a friends then you can take transit one but if you go there with family you may take Malaysia or Singapore airlines.

Okay, so I done my ticket booking. For the accomodation, I will stay at my friends' places.
However, my parents did come to Adelaide after one week so I will introduce the hotel where they stayed for you guys.

First, let me introduce my friends' places first.
Actually, they are all student appartment.

Now, is the turn to talk about accomodation.

I forgot to take photo of Mao and Jarrel's Place. I only have Calvin's

 

Calvin's student appartment called Urbanest.

So this is their reception look like.

They provide alot of facilities like snooker, laundry area, computer zone, study area and sport area.

It is 20 mins away UniSA city east campus.

It has many types:

1. studio : one person

2. shared studio : two person

3. 4 units appartment : 5 persons which is Calvin currently living

4. 6 units appartment : 6 persons I think

5. 4 units appartment premium : higher class

 

Their rented is paid by weekly so is quite expansive for us.

This hotel is just in the red line zone which means the street of the night clubs and pubs.

Halloween's Party 2013

Happy Belated Halloween Guys!

Actually in my area there is no big events for celebrating Halloween.
We don't have pumpkin-carving, we don't have dress-up, and no collecting candies  

In the Halloween morning, I woke up and signed in to my facebook. I was shock by my friends in UK and USA because they all dress-up (some really scary with the vampire makeup) and went to Halloween Party.

Teehee, it just so happens that my parents decided to have a small gathering on the Halloween !
Thus, we decided to have a bbq and buffet.

This is a mini supermarket sells meat and vegetables. We love to buy meat at here is because the meat is with vacuum packaging. As you all know, meat from Morning market is fresh but they do not undergo any antibaterial progress.
You can find those marinated chicken, meat, meat ball, jerky and vegetables here.

So yeah, here we go!

Actually I was very happy when I saw these foods on MY TABLE!!!

 

First, I bought...

Jerky.

This jerky tastes really good.

I will recommend this in your buying list.

Not just for bbq sometime you can fried it and makes it as your dishes or fried it with vegetables or clip it with bread.

 

Next, come to ....

Marinated pork.

I dont taste this before so still no comment to this but according to apprearrance it looks nice!

 

Also, bought marinated chicken wing.

This is abit costly because I think roughly 2MYR per wing.

The color after bbq is nice and the taste also not bad according to my friends.

My mum usually like to buy these ready-made stuffs because we dont like to spend so much time prepare for foods and cleaning up the left over.

In this package there are 6 pieces of marinated wings.

I think for those who are busy preparing or lazy like my mother then you guys can try this.

 

Then we have..

 

Taiwan Sausage!!!

Teehee one of my favourites!! but I have to say this is really expensive.

It costs about 21 MYR per package.

Dont ask me how much per pack because I dont know hahahhah..

There are 3 flavours.

1.Garlic (which is my favourite because I ate this in Taiwan before "really nice")

2. Spicy (I dont eat spicy stuffs that often so for me this is spicy)

3.Original (I havent try this but I think the taste is okay)

 

I think this nice is because it mixed with the fat and meat of the pork. Not like other sausage.

 

Continue with our fishy

 

If you know me well you will know I love fish more than meat. Thus, definately there will have fishy in my bbq's ingredients.

I not sure what's this fish called but it taste really good! but just too many bones.

BBQ.. anything left out??

 

Charcoal..BBQ stand..

We bought a new stand but we cant actually find a big one so yeah it's small but it's cute right?

Then my friends said how come my charcoal look so cute..yeah it is..

My charcoal is round and small..and it is really cute!

(When I wrote this..I just think that me and my sis should have a bbq tomorrow

This is a my "father-way" , he soaked the charcoal with petrol for like 10 mins.

This way is really effective-----> see the fire ..

Owww... my real man

I dont want booy friend, I need a real man..real man...real man..

 

Here comes the "cousin-way of string chicken wings"

First, take out your defroze chicken wing.

Next, take out your bbq stick.

Then, string your shicken wing with the bbq stick..

TarTar..easy noh hahahhahaha

Ps. Must becareful when you string it because the stick is sharp and the chicken is cunning.

 *My story: ermmm... dream that you are with your boyfriend..then your boyfriend helps you string the shicken wings..then...stop it stop it!! Sorry abit out of control haahhaha

 

My sister's "ghost" friends

 

 

My parents scared that the foods are not enough for the guests so she bought these from Verbena.

Is too bad that camera is not allow in the shop.

I will try to make one introduce about this bakery shop one day.

Three flavours of cakes

Fresh cream, Mango cake and Chocolate Moose.

Unfortunately, there are still left over and store in my fridge now

 

This is the Fresh Cream.

On top, there is strawberries. I didnt try this because this was finished that night.

Can see from the picture ..between the layer there is fruit but I not sure what kind the fruit it is.

She helped me cut the cakes and looking after my piano during that night (becuase little kids like to play my piano after meal with their oily hands )

This was the second flavours, Chocolate Moose.

 

Nice?? Teehee..I cut this cake with love.

I cut like this is because it was melting and it was hard to cut and arrange it into another plate so I just left it there.

But it looked like a rose, right?

Then, this is the Mango Cake.

in between, there is mango slice and on top it is mango cream also and a layer of jelly.

Ermmm..this tastes unique ermmm.. I guess this is the words to describe.
